MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411103758 A) filed by Schneider Electric India Private Limited on December 27, 2024, for Angled Pad-Locking Mechanism In Rotary Handles For Circuit Breakers.

Inventor includes Chaughule, Ameya Mangesh.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an angled pull-type padlock mechanism (100) for a circuit breaker that includes a rotary handle (110), defining an angled pull configuration, coupled to a mechanism box (106) to facilitate operation in confined spaces. An excursion plate (112) serves as a stable mounting base for the rotary handle (110). An extended shaft (114) links the rotary handle (110) to the mechanism box (106) for control. A rack lever (116) with a toothed design interacts with a pinion gear to convert rotary motion into linear movement. A cam gear drives a follower pin (120) into a locking hole on a lock plate (124), locking the rotary handle (110) in the "OFF" position. A compression spring (122) disengages the follower pin (120) when returning to its original position. This configuration ensures safety and adaptability with enhanced locking functionality.
