MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511072648 A) filed by Pulkit Ahuja; and Deeksha Raheja on August 07, 2025, for Anti Water-Logging Traffic Cone System With Floating Mechanism And Method Thereof.
Inventor includes Pulkit Ahuja.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: A portable waterlogging-mitigation and hazard-signalling apparatus (100) includes a traffic-marker housing (102) having a buoyant region (11), a ballast region (31), a screened water intake (12), a pump (14), a water-level sensing unit (24), an attitude sensor (33), an optical warning emitter (26), and a controller (25). The apparatus (100) operates in a ground-supported traffic-marker state and automatically transitions to a self-righted buoyantly supported state as external water rises while maintaining the screened water intake (12) below an operating waterline (60) and the optical warning emitter (26) above the operating waterline (60). The controller (25) confirms a waterlogging state, operates the pump (14), selects warning outputs according to detected water depth or a hazard state, and inhibits pumping during excessive tilt, dry-running or unsafe conditions. Optional embodiments provide sector-selective intake cleaning, substrate-hazard detection, ground-referencing hydraulic modules, safe-receptor discharge, and distributed roadway-flood response, thereby maintaining hydraulic engagement, visible warning, and improved roadway safety during flooding.
