Abstract: The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising an ethanolic extract of Ficus benghalensis stem bark, which demonstrates significant antiulcer and hepatoprotective activities. The composition contains bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and alkaloids, which contribute to its therapeutic effects. This invention provides a natural alternative for the prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal ulcers and liver disorders. The pharmacological evaluation includes assessments of ulcer index reduction, enhancement of gastric mucosal defense, normalization of liver enzymes, and protection of hepatic architecture. The extract's safety profile was confirmed through acute toxicity studies, indicating its potential as a safe and effective therapeutic agent.
