Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a cyber-physical system for non-invasive detection of iron deficiency anemia using multimedia analytics and physiological sensor fusion. The system comprises a physical layer including a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor, temperature sensor, heart rate sensor, and an eye imaging sensor for acquiring physiological parameters and conjunctiva images. An edge computing layer including an Arduino UNO and a Raspberry Pi performs sensor interfacing, image preprocessing, conjunctiva segmentation, red pixel intensity extraction, and personalized baseline comparison using a cognitive algorithm. An anemia detection score is generated by combining deviations in conjunctiva redness, physiological parameters, and historical trends through a weighted scoring mechanism. The processed data are transmitted to a cloud platform for secure storage, trend analysis, and statistical aggregation. A presentation layer including a mobile application and web dashboard provides real-time health monitoring, anemia risk classification, alerts, historical visualization, and personalized recommendations. The invention enables low-cost, portable, personalized, and early detection of anemia without requiring invasive blood sampling.
