Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an apparatus (100) and a method (400) for cleaning solar panel surfaces. The apparatus (100) includes a robotic arm (102) with a brush (104), a water sprinkler unit to spray the solar panel with water, a sensor assembly (106), and a control unit. The control unit is operatively coupled to the brush (102), the sensor assembly (106), and the water sprinkler unit. The control unit is configured to align the robotic arm (102) and the brush (104) with the solar panel, activate the water sprinkler unit to spray water to the solar panel, and move the brush (104) based on data received from the sensor assembly (106) to remove contaminants from the solar panel with the brush (104). The control unit is further configured to rinse the bristles (104-2) and retract the robotic arm (102) after cleaning the solar panel.
