Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to electrochemical detection of multiple foodborne pathogens. The apparatus (100) includes a disposable sensor cartridge (102) having an immunomagnetic separation chamber (104) in direct fluidic communication with a detection chamber (106). The detection chamber (106) houses a screen-printed electrode array (108) with at least four working electrodes (110), each functionalized with capture antibodies targeting a distinct pathogenic species. An electromagnet array (112) aligns with the separation chamber (104), while a pump (116) and potentiostat (118) manage fluid delivery and electrochemical measurement, respectively. A microprocessor (120) coordinates pulsed flow actuation to capture pathogen-bound immunomagnetic beads, then transfers a concentrated pathogen suspension to the detection chamber (106). Enzyme-conjugated detection antibodies form sandwich immunocomplexes on the working electrodes (110), and the potentiostat (118) measures amperometric current responses to simultaneously determine presence or absence of multiple target pathogens in a single food sample analysis.
