MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621051924 A) filed by Sage University on April 23, 2026, for Apparatus And Method For Real-Time Monitoring Of Centre Of Gravity During Cargo Loading Operations.
Inventors include Dr. Prashant Jain; Dr. Dilip Singh Solanki; Prof. Jeetesh Kumar Jain; Prof. Praveen Kumar Gautam; and Yash Mudgal.
The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to real-time monitoring of centre of gravity during cargo loading operations. The apparatus (100) includes a plurality of load cells (102) positioned at four corner locations of a rectangular footprint corresponding to container floor dimensions. Each load cell (102) measures vertical force and generates an analogue output signal proportional to the measured force. A MCU (104) electrically coupled to the load cells (102) receives and converts the analogue output signals to digital weight values using stored calibration coefficients. The MCU (104) determines centre of gravity coordinates by processing the digital weight values against stored corner coordinate positions, then compares the coordinates against stored threshold limits to detect deviation from the geometric centre. When deviation exceeds a threshold distance, the MCU (104) outputs an alert signal to an alert assembly (106), triggering a visual or audible alert indicating a dangerous weight imbalance condition.
