MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621052606 A) filed by Sage University on April 24, 2026, for Apparatus For Posture Monitoring During Physical Exercise With Solar Power Supply And Voice Guidance.

Inventors include Ms. Sakshi Agrawal; Prof. Kundan Kumar Mishra; Prof. Siddharth Nath Gautam; Sumit Gupta; and Khushi Patil.

The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to an apparatus for monitoring exercise postures and delivering corrective feedback, particularly suited for rural deployment. The apparatus (100) includes a flexible textile substrate (102) deployable on a ground surface, embedding a pressure sensing array (104) of force-sensitive resistor sensors (114) at predetermined body contact zones. A processor (106) samples the force-sensitive resistor sensors (114) to obtain pressure values, classifies the current exercise posture using threshold-based decision logic, and determines posture deviations accordingly. Upon detecting a deviation, the apparatus (100) generates corrective voice guidance in a regional Indian language through an integrated speaker (120), or transmits a Short Message Service text message via a GSM wireless modem (118) to a registered telephone number over a 2G cellular network. Solar power supply enables off-grid operation, making the apparatus (100) accessible in rural environments lacking reliable electricity infrastructure. FIG. 1
