Abstract: An arthritis management and physiological monitoring device, comprises a flexible wearable body 101 having segmented compartments 102 corresponding to individual fingers and the wrist region 102a, 102b adapted to be worn a user over hand and wrist region 102a, 102b, multiple SMA linear actuators 201 embedded along dorsal surfaces of the compartments 102 to adjust body 101 tightness, a displacement sensing matrix 202 positioned along an inner lining of the body 101 to detect real- time dimensional parameters of the user's hand and fingers, a multimodal physiological sensor suite integrated with the body 101 to detect physiological conditions of the user’s hand, a joint mobilisation module comprising motors driving tendon-routed flexion members 203 aligned with finger joints 103 to assist flexion and extension of the user's fingers, and at least one therapeutic unit 204 integrated with the body 101 to provide various types of therapy to the user’s hand.
