Abstract: Provided is an article storage box in which dust does not readily enter a body section, an article can be easily retrieved from above, and frictional force at the time of retrieval can be suppressed. This storage box 1 comprises a box-shaped body section 10 composed of an upper surface part 11, a bottom surface part 12, a front surface part 13, a back surface part 14, a left side surface part 15, and a right side surface part 16. A retrieval port formation part 17 includes: a notch line 21 provided in the vicinity of a ridge line 18 where the upper surface part 11 and the front surface part 13 intersect; a notch line 22 having the left end of the notch line 21 as one end thereof, the other end thereof being provided inside the upper surface part 11; a notch line 23 having the right end of the notch line 21 as one end thereof, the other end thereof being provided inside the upper surface part 11; and a folding line 26 connecting the other end of the notch line 22 and the other end of the notch line 23. The notch line 21, the notch line 22, and the notch line 23 are cut, and a portion of the upper surface part 11 is folded upward along the folding line 26 to form a folded piece, whereby a retrieval port is formed.
