Abstract: The integration of Photovoltaic (PV) and Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) based Wind Systems into a grid system utilizing a High Gain Boost Integrated Zeta (HGBIZ) Converter along with advanced controller. The combination of PV and wind systems offers a reliable, sustainable and environmentally friendly solution for meeting the energy needs of modern grid systems. Optimizing the energy production and ensuring efficient power transfer of the PV system, the HGIBZ converter is introduced in this work. Besides, the Artificial Flora Optimized Proportional Integral (AFO-PI) controller involves optimizing the controller parameters to achieve better dynamic response, stabilized DC link voltage and efficiency in the proposed HGBIZ converter system. The Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) rectifier is adopted to convert the AC voltage into DC voltage, which ensures the DFIG seamless connection to the grid. The rectifier also provides reactive power support to enhance grid stability. The PI controller enhances the PWM rectifier’s performance by providing stability, fast response and improved power quality. Furthermore, in grid coupled PV and wind sources, the PI controller used for ensuring that the PV inverter synchronizes with the utility grid. It maintains synchronization and prevents instability during transient events. Simultaneously, the Internet of Things (IoT) platform is employed for monitoring the parameters including V_PV,V_DFIG,V_dc,soc,V_B,I_B,V_G and I_G. Simulation results demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed system with regard of power quality and grid stability. The PV and DFIG based WECS integrated grid system shows promising performance in harnessing renewable energy and contributing to a sustainable power generation infrastructure.
