MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611064923 A) filed by Cellverse Private Limited on May 22, 2026, for Artificial Intelligence-Based System And Method For Validating Engineered Fibrotic Tissues Using Histopathological Analysis.
Inventors include Kanika Singroha; Vinit.; and Shristhi Rawat.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses an artificial intelligence-based system and method for validating engineered fibrotic tissues using histopathological analysis. An image acquisition subsystem (206) receives histopathological images of the engineered fibrotic tissue. A preprocessing subsystem (208) generates standardised image data. A fibrosis feature extraction subsystem (210) configured with AI models classifies collagen fibres into fine fibres and bundled fibres to generate a fibrosis composition profile. A cellular feature extraction subsystem (212) segments nuclei and computes zone-wise cellular density. A feature aggregation subsystem (214) integrates collagen structural features and cellular density features into composite histopathological feature data. A profiling subsystem (216) performs comparative analysis against pre-established disease-grade profile data to generate similarity scores. A validation subsystem (218) determines pathological fidelity and identifies a corresponding disease grade. An output subsystem (220) generates a validation output comprising the identified disease grade and pathological fidelity.
