Abstract: The present invention discloses an artificial intelligence based system for legal literacy and legal knowledge mapping. The system comprises an input acquisition module, a legal knowledge ingestion module, a legal knowledge graph module, an artificial intelligence reasoning module, a literacy adaptation engine, a verification module, and an output generation module. The system receives a user legal query through text, speech, scanned document, form, image, or selected topic input and converts the query into a normalized machine-readable representation. Legal-domain data from verified legal sources is segmented into provision units, procedure units, remedy units, document units, authority units, timeline units, and risk units and is represented in a structured legal knowledge graph. The artificial intelligence reasoning module maps the user query to relevant graph paths and generates a source-grounded legal literacy response. The literacy adaptation engine converts complex legal information into user-specific simplified output, while the verification module performs source anchoring, jurisdiction validation, contradiction detection, confidence scoring, and human review triggering.
