MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641118161 A) filed by Aditya Institute Of Technology And Management on October 01, 2026, for Artificial Intelligence-Enabled Smart Grid Load Forecasting And Adaptive Energy Management System.

Inventors include Kanaka Raju Kalla; B. Ramesh; and G. Vijay Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.

Abstract: An artificial intelligence-enabled smart-grid load forecasting and adaptive energy management system is disclosed. The system acquires time-stamped electrical measurements from grid sensors and smart meters, conditions the measurements at edge nodes, and combines electrical features with exogenous information and a machine-readable representation of current grid topology. A topology-aware forecasting engine generates load forecasts for multiple future horizons and electrically defined grid locations, while an uncertainty estimator provides confidence information for the forecasts. A constraint-aware adaptive energy controller converts the forecasts into physical operating commands for energy storage, controllable inverters, flexible loads and other grid assets. A deterministic safety envelope prevents commands that violate electrical or equipment constraints. Measured post-command grid response is compared with predicted response to adapt forecasting and control parameters. The system thereby provides closed-loop, uncertainty-responsive grid control for peak reduction, renewable-energy utilization and improved network operating compliance.
