Abstract: ABSTRACT AUTOMATED BARRICADE SYSTEM Disclosed is an automated barricade system 1000. The system 1000 comprises one or more standard modules 700 arranged between a leading module 600 and a trailing module 500. The modules 500, 600, and 700 consist of three units such that each unit has a barricade 2000 mounted on a frame 101, 410, and 701. Each of the frames 101 is attached to wheels 103 on the lower side, driven by an actuator 406. The system 1000 includes an optical sensing and feedback mechanism, and an electronic control module 900 to enable the user to set parameters. The system 1000 is portable, which facilitates the creation of flexible lanes on a road without road closure, eliminating the need for fixed concrete blocks. [
