Abstract: An automated blade sharpening device, comprising a cuboidal body 101 positioned over a fixed surface and configured with a grinding stone, a pair of sliding rails 102 configured over the body 101 to provide translation to a block 103 configured with each of the sliding rails 102, to provide translation to a block 103 configured with each of the sliding rails 102 to grip the blade in a secured manner, a vertical sliding unit 202 installed between each of the grippers 201 and blocks 103 to provide translation to the blade, a motorized ball and socket joint 203 installed between each of the grippers 201 and vertical sliding unit 202 to provide rotation to the grippers 201, an electromagnetic spring 105 installed between each of the block 103 and sliding rails 102 provide a reciprocator to and fro motion to the block 103.
