MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511008015 A) filed by Sanskriti University on January 30, 2025, for Automated Broken Screw Extracting Device.

Inventors include Dr. Priyanka Tripathi; and Dr. Ramakant Upadhyay.

Abstract: An automated broken screw extracting device, comprising a cuboidal body 101 positioned over a fixed surface, multiple suction units 106 create a negative pressure to affix body 101 with surface, a microphone 102 receives voice command of user regrading extracting of screw, an imaging unit 103 determines diameter of screw, a chamber 105 stored with multiple drill bits of various sizes, a robotic arm 107 access chamber 105 for withdrawing one of drilling bits, a drilling unit 111 withdrawn dill bit with drilling unit 111 , an inverted L-shaped hydraulic rod 110 extends and position drilling unit 111 over screw, inverted L-shaped hydraulic bar 112 extends and position a hammer 113 over positioned nail, an inverted L-shaped hydraulic shaft 108 extends and position a motorized gripper 109 for gripping nail, a motorized ball and socket joint 115 provides rotation to gripper 109 for enabling gripper 109 to extract screw.
