MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441102815 A) filed by Larsen & Toubro Limited on December 24, 2024, for Automated Casting Gantry For Continous I-Girder Casting.

Abstract: The invention relates to a system for continuous I-Girder casting with automated casting gantry on a plurality of casting beds with the casting gantry, a support frame disposed on the casting gantry and shutter panels integrated with shutter vibrator and hydraulic jacks (A2) and lateral prop tie rods all mounted on the said support frame motorized for sliding the shutter panels along the support frame. Also a walkway (C2) is disposed on the casting gantry alongwith a electrical control panel with a CRD (Cable Reeling Drum) for power supply disposed on the casting gantry associated operably with said vibrators and jacks, and an end panel (B2) disposed on each of the casting bed along the length of the casting bed.
