The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) 100. The AGV 100 includes a tugging mechanism 102 and a latching mechanism 110. The tugging mechanism 102 includes a first plate member 104-A, a second plate member 104-B and a rod 108. A predefined gap 106 is defined between the first plate member 104-A and the second plate member 104-B. The AGV 100 includes a controller to determine that the load carriers are locked within the predefined gap 106 and in response to the determination that the AGV 100 reaches a second location from a first location, automatically trigger the rod 108 to slide from a first position to a second position to unlock the load carriers accommodated within the predefined gap 106. The AGV 100 with both the tugging mechanism 102 and the latching mechanism 110 reduces a need for multiple AGVs, thereby improving operational flexibility.
