MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541067729 A) filed by Sieger Spintech Equipments P Limited on July 16, 2025, for Automated Inline Package Tip Inspection System For Rotor And Winding Yarn Machines.
Inventor includes N Murugesan.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to textile package handling and machine-vision inspection for rotor and winding yarn machines, and discloses an automated inline package tip inspection system in which an overhead basket carrying yarn packages is identified by a unique RFID identifier and tracked through doffing, loading, unloading, and pallet formation stages. An inspection camera 101 images an inspection region 102 at the cone-tip portion under controlled visible LED and/or UV illumination, and a main controller compares the captured image in real time with a master image library or master database associated with expected package identity. A two-axis robotic arm 103 with grippers 104 receives accumulator readiness, performs pick-and-place transfer, and may conduct additional pickup-stage verification. The system classifies packages as OK or NG, blocks mixed or mismatched groups, halts pallet formation and raises alarms upon mismatch, and records RFID events, inspection outcomes, manual correction, and process continuity data in a Plant Monitoring System.
