Abstract: ABSTRACT: Automated Self-Sensing Surveying Tripod Head Assembly with Controlled Levelling Correction Mechanism This invention describes an automated self- sensing surveying tripod head assembly for supporting surveying instruments requiring accurate preliminary levelling. The assembly is configured to detect angular deviation of the tripod head in pitch and roll directions and to automatically generate corrective support adjustment within a predefined levelling tolerance. A tilt- detection arrangement continuously monitors inclination relative to a horizontal reference, while a centralized control arrangement processes the detected deviation and commands selective fine adjustment of the tripod support legs. The assembly further provides visible levelling-status indication and is operable through a portable rechargeable power supply suited for field deployment. By effecting correction at the tripod support base rather than relying solely on instrument-level compensation, the invention improves foundational stability, setup repeatability, and measurement reliability. The invention is particularly useful in civil engineering, construction layout, land surveying, and infrastructure alignment applications, especially on uneven terrain where manual tripod levelling is time-consuming, inconsistent, and prone to human error.
