Abstract: An automated takenoko pieces peeling device comprises of a platform 101 installed with a storage container 102 stored with takenoko pieces to be peeled off by a pair of vertical bars 103 arranged on the platform 101 and configured with a pair of motor rollers 104 via an articulated robotic arm 105 installed on the platform 101, a laser sensor configured with the rollers 104 for detecting thickness of the pieces, pair of motorized sliding units 106 installed in between the bars 103 and rollers 104 for translating the rollers 104 towards/away from each other, a chamber 107 filled with water configured on the platform 101 for collecting the peeled takenoko pieces for preserving hydration, a receptacle 108 is arranged near the bars 103 for collection of peel of the takenoko pieces, an imaging unit 109 for detecting collection of the peeled takenoko pieces in the chamber 107.
