The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: The present invention suggests an automated system for detecting the reusability of returned packaging materials used in the e-commerce supply chain. Images of the returned packages from various angles are taken by a 360-degree inspection system. Image recognition techniques are applied to detect structural damage to the package, such as cracks, torn edges, or surface deformation. Based on the detected features, a damage score is calculated to determine the reusability or non-reusability of the package. The results are stored in a database and presented through a dashboard for analytical purposes. This invention increases the level of efficiency while promoting the reuse of packages.
