Abstract: The present invention relates to the development of an intelligent automatic speed breaker system with pedestrian detection system to provide better road safety and efficient traffic. Unlike regular fixed-speed speed breakers which are uncomfortable and prevent emergency services from arriving quickly, the speed breaker system adjusts its height according to traffic conditions. By using sensors such as IR sensors or cameras, this technique detects pedestrians on the road as well as the speed of vehicles. The control unit in the system controls the actuators and raises the speed breaker if there is a need for the same, which includes pedestrian crossing as well as overspeeding prevention. Otherwise, it keeps itself lowered for cooperative motorists and emergency vehicles, providing uninterrupted passage to both. FIG.1
