Abstract: An automatic water leakage prevention system for an apartment unit, comprising a plurality of water leakage sensors positioned at leak-prone locations and configured to generate a leak detection signal, an occupancy determination module configured to determine an occupancy state of the apartment unit, a water shutoff valve installed on a main water inlet line and configured to selectively permit or prevent water flow, a controller communicatively coupled to the sensors, occupancy determination module, and water shutoff valve, the controller configured to command closure of the water shutoff valve upon detection of leakage during an unoccupied state, a notification module configured to transmit alert messages indicating leak events and valve status to recipient computing units, thereby minimizing water damage, improving residential safety, reducing maintenance costs, conserving water resources, and enhancing apartment management efficiency.
