MUMBAI, India, July 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411097376 A) filed by Purflux Engine Systems India Pvt. Ltd. on December 10, 2024, for Automotive Air Intake System.
Inventor includes Rajeev Kaushik.
The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.
Abstract: Disclosed is an automotive air intake system (100). The system (100) comprises an inlet cover (101), a filter element (102), an outlet cover (103), a carbon sheet (104), an air inlet (105), and an air outlet (106). The air inlet (105) provides a path for the atmospheric air to enter the vehicle, which subsequently passes through the filter element (102). The filter element (102) prevents dirt or foreign particles from entering the engine by trapping same. The air coming out of the filter element (102) further passes over the carbon sheet (104) that adsorbs volatile gases, NOx, from the air. The thus filtered air without any gases, solids, or liquids is then passed to the automotive engine via the air outlet (106). The system (100) reduces exhaust emissions and improves the performance, reliability, and durability of the engine. [
