MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641125199 A) filed by Bandaru Ramu on October 20, 2026, for Autonomous Collapsible Deep-Water Transport Vehicle And Integrated Ocean Thermal Energy, Cooling And Desalination System.

Inventor includes Bandaru Ramu.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: Ocean thermal power, data-centre cooling and desalination need vast flows of cold deep seawater, but for a century the cold-water pipe has blocked them: none large enough exists, and containers on cables or air-filled containers cost more energy than they return. A fleet of autonomous, untethered vehicles (10), each feeding like a whale, replaces the pipe. A rigid body (12) carries collapsible enclosures (14) which descend folded and open at depth with downward-facing mouths (16), so the dive itself drives cold water in; closures (18) seal the parcel. A reversible buoyancy engine (20) lifts the vehicle without consuming ballast; its only gas space, a rigid tank (22), is under 5% of the parcel. A station (100) feeds the water to an ocean thermal condenser, a data-centre cooler and a desalination unit warmed by its waste heat.
