MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641089882 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Chennai on July 23, 2026, for Autonomous Parking Orchestration System.

Inventors include Kumaran K; Karthikeyan Arun; A Harsha Kumar; and Saranya G.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an autonomous parking orchestration system (100). The system (100) includes a central orchestration engine (110) to receive a visual state token, generated by an edge orchestration apparatus (108) from optical data at the parking facility ingress. The engine (110) processes the token to extract and verify a vehicle identifier. Simultaneously, occupancy state tokens from distributed sensor nodes (108-6) are obtained to confirm sustained physical occupancy at individual slots. A dual-validation handshake protocol enforces temporal synchronization between identity and occupancy before authorizing access or committing a transaction. Upon successful validation, the system (100) allocates a designated slot, actuates access barriers, and correlates entry and occupancy timestamps to establish a parking session. At exit, the system (100) computes session duration and executes a financial deduction from a linked payment instrument.
