Abstract: The invention is a ball valve having an open position enabling flow of a medium and closed position blocking the flow of medium. Ball valve comprising a ball valve casing(10a) having an inlet and outlet, a ball (12a) arranged in a ball valve casing(10a) and through hole for passing medium, a ball-turning slot, and ball stem(18) extending into ball-turning slot of ball(12a) and rotatable about rotational axis, between open and closed position of ball valve by rotating ball stem(18). Ball valve further comprises sealing-positioning member(14) in ball valve casing(10a), and abutting member(16) arranged non-rotatably in ball valve casing(10a), has inside circular rim, and comprises abutment member disposed along inside circular rim. In open position of ball valve the ball stem(18) abuts against one of the first and second abutment surfaces, while in closed position of ball valve it abuts against the other one of the first and second abutment surfaces
