Abstract: The present application relates to the field of electronics. Provided are a battery, a circuit board, an electronic device and a battery charging method by means of which the problem of the charging effect of a new battery being reduced or there being a risk of damaging an old battery due to the fact that an electronic device charges the battery after the electronic device is disassembled and the battery is reinstalled in the electronic device can be solved. The battery comprises a battery cell and a protection board. The protection board comprises a state feature circuit, which is coupled to a positive electrode of the battery cell, and is further configured to couple to a circuit board. The state feature circuit is configured to: on the basis of a positive electrode signal provided by the positive electrode of the battery cell, output, in a first state, a first state feature signal to the circuit board, or output, in a second state, a second state feature signal to the circuit board; and the state feature circuit is further configured to switch from the first state to the second state when the state feature circuit is in the first state and has acquired a state switching signal provided by a state switching signal end.
