MUMBAI, India, July 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641087727 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Chennai on July 17, 2026, for Battery Health Monitoring And Operational Parameter Prediction System.

Inventors include Pritam Bhowmik; Rupa Mishra; and Saranya S T.

The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a battery health monitoring and operational parameter prediction system. The system includes a data acquisition unit (102) to acquire electrical parameters including voltage and current in real-time, and a processor (104) coupled with a memory (106). The processor (104) receives the electrical parameters, selects relevant features using a feature selection unit (104-1), and reduces dimensionality using a dimensionality reduction unit (104-2). A state-of-charge prediction unit (104-3) generates a predicted state of charge. A power density prediction unit (104-4) generates predicted power density. An energy density prediction unit (104-5) generates predicted energy density. A life cycle prediction unit (104-6) predicts remaining life cycle. The processor (104) determines battery health based on the predicted parameters.
