Abstract: ABSTRACT: Bed-Mounted Autonomous Robotic System for Patient-Specific Feeding and Medication Delivery This invention describes a bed-mounted, patient-state adaptive autonomous robotic assistance system for scheduled delivery of food, liquids, and medication without requiring alteration of patient posture. The system integrates controlled actuation, programmable scheduling, and patient-specific configuration to enable precise and repeatable intake assistance. It incorporates real-time patient-state monitoring to detect breathing-induced motion, tremor, and positional variations, and employs a micro-motion compensation mechanism to dynamically adjust delivery trajectories for accurate alignment with the patient’s intake zone. A swallowing readiness detection module ensures that delivery occurs only during safe physiological conditions, thereby reducing the risk of aspiration. The system further includes a multi-layer safety control mechanism configured to detect obstruction, sudden movement, or distress, and to initiate immediate interruption or retraction. The invention provides a compact, retrofit-compatible solution suitable for clinical and home- care environments, enhancing patient safety, comfort, and caregiver efficiency.
