Abstract: ABSRACT Title: Bio-coagulant from Moringa oleifera and Linum usitatissimum for the Treatment of Coal Washery Effluent and a process for the preparation thereof. The present invention relates to a bio-coagulant from Moringa oleifera and Linum 5 usitatissimum for the treatment of coal washery effluent and a process for the preparation thereof. This invention particularly relates to a bio-coagulant by combining Moringa oleifera and Linum usitatissimum seed pressed cakes at optimum ratio, which were used to remove turbidity and recovery of fines from coal washery effluent. The bio-coagulant derived from a combination of Moringa oleifera and Linum usitatissimum to remove turbidity from coal 10 washery effluent could be seen as an environmentally friendly, non-toxic and efficient coagulation method, potentially facilitating the recovery of coal fines. The bio-coagulant demonstrates that it is an excellent alternative to other metallic and non-metallic coagulants and polymers for treating coal washery effluents. 15 Fig. 1
