Abstract: BIOCAGE FOR ENHANCED MINERAL ABSORPTION AND CELLULAR DELIVERY TO IMPROVE HEALTH AND PRODUCTIVITY The present invention relates to a novel nano-engineered biopolymer-based mineral delivery system for improving the bioavailability and utilization of dietary minerals. More particularly, the invention discloses a functionalized carbon-based biopolymer, referred to as BIOCAGE, capable of nanoscale encapsulation, chelation, and stabilization of macro minerals, micro minerals, and trace minerals. The BIOCAGE structure forms mineral-loaded nanoparticles that enhance mineral solubility, transport, and controlled release at the cellular level through functional interactions between the carbon biopolymer matrix and the mineral components. The invention is applicable to pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, dietary supplement, agricultural, and veterinary compositions, where improved mineral delivery, absorption efficiency, and nutrient utilization are required.
