MUMBAI, India, July 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617066308 A) filed by Omron Healthcare Co. , Ltd. on May 26, 2026, for Biological Information Measurement Device.
Inventors include Munehira, Shuhei; and Kato, Moe.
The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.
Abstract: This biological information measurement device is used while worn on a human body. The biological information measurement device comprises at least a first electrode and a second electrode, and is configured to be capable of measuring an electrocardiographic waveform based on the potential difference between the first electrode and the second electrode. The biological information measurement device comprises: a body housing including a side surface formed of a conductive material and functioning as the first electrode, a bottom surface on which the second electrode is disposed and that comes into contact with the human body when the biological information measurement device is worn, and a top surface located opposite the bottom surface; an electrocardiographic signal detection circuit for detecting signals related to potentials of the first electrode and the second electrode; a first electric path that conducts the first electrode and the electrocardiographic signal detection circuit; and a second electric path on which an electrostatic discharge protection element is mounted, and that couples the first electrode and the second electrode via the electrostatic discharge protection element.
