Abstract: The present invention relates to a biominnetic dental simulation device for preclinical dental education and skill development. More particularly, the invention discloses a multi-layered typodont tooth designed to replicate the anatomical architecture, visual appearance, and mechanical behavior of natural tooth tissues during tooth preparation procedures. The typodont tooth comprises an outer enamel-simulating layer, an intermediate dentinsimulating layer, and an internal pulp chamber. The enamel layer is fabricated from a highhardness white material configured to mimic the appearance and cutting resistance of natural enamel. The dentin layer is fabricated from a comparatively softer yellow material configured to simulate the structural and mechanical properties of dentin. The internal pulp chamber contains a red-colored fluid, gel, or equivalent feedback medium adapted to provide visual indication upon pulpal exposure resulting from over-preparation. The layered configuration provides differential hardness, color differentiation, and progressive cutting resistance, thereby enabling learners to perceive transitions between simulated tooth tissues during operative procedures. The invention further incorporates controlled enamel thickness and anatomically representative pulp chamber morphology derived from natural tooth anatomy, digital reconstruction, or three-dimensional imaging techniques. The disclosed biomimetic typodont tooth improves tactile realism, depth perception, preparation accuracy, and conservative tooth reduction skills compared with conventional homogeneous typodont teeth. The invention serves as an enhanced educational tool that bridges the gap between preclinical simulation and clinical dental practice.
