Abstract: The present invention relates to a Blockchain-Based Secure Academic Certificate Verification System for secure issuance, management and verification of academic certificates. The system comprises an authorized institution authentication module, certificate generation module, certificate data processing module, cryptographic hash generation module, digital signature module, blockchain transaction module, smart contract module, certificate repository, QR-code generation module, certificate verification module, hash comparison module, revocation module, access-control module and verification interface. Academic certificate information received from an authenticated educational institution is processed to generate a unique cryptographic hash and certificate identifier. The cryptographic hash and selected certificate metadata are recorded in a blockchain ledger through a blockchain transaction and smart contract. A digitally verifiable certificate containing a QR code or verification identifier is provided to the certificate holder. During verification, the presented certificate is processed to generate a corresponding hash, which is compared with the blockchain-recorded hash. The system provides an authenticity status based on the hash correspondence, digital signature validity and certificate status. The system thereby provides tamperevident, auditable, rapid and secure academic certificate verification while supporting certificate revocation and controlled access to academic information.
