Abstract: Blockchain-Enabled Digital Evidence Management System for Legal Applications is the proposed invention. The present invention relates to a blockchain-enabled digital evidence management system for legal applications, the system integrating permissioned blockchain, post-quantum cryptography, confidential smart contracting, decentralised digital identities, trusted execution environments, and artificial intelligence-based integrity monitoring to provide secure, privacy-preserving and legally compliant digital evidence management. Automated processing of digital evidence acquired from forensic devices, surveillance systems, cloud platforms, mobile devices, and Internet of Things sources extracts forensic metadata, generates unique evidence identifiers, and produces quantum-resistant cryptographic commitments. Encrypted evidence is stored in secure distributed repositories while immutable chain-of-custody records, timestamps, integrity proofs and access policies are stored on the blockchain. Confidential intelligent contracts perform judicial workflows and evidence authorisation procedures in trusted execution environments without revealing the sensitive content of the evidence. AI continuously monitors the evidence access patterns, detects anomalous activities, forecasts insider threats and triggers automated forensic auditing. Decentralised digital identities and verifiable credentials provide secure authentication and role-based authorisation for investigators, forensic analysts, judicial authorities and legal practitioners.
