Abstract: 10 15 A botanical gel composition and associated recovery system for selective, non destructive capture of plant-derived microscopic particulates from various substrates. The composition comprises a polymeric adhesive base, viscosity modifiers, humectants, stabilizers, and non-reactive preservatives configured to provide controlled tackiness, structural stability, and moisture balance for efficient recovery of pollen grains, spores, trichomes, phytoliths, epidermal fragments, and botanical micro-debris. The gel composition preserves morphological integrity of captured particulates while minimizing co-capture of non-target contaminants and preventing substantial removal of textile fibers. The invention further discloses a method comprising application of the gel onto a target substrate, adhesion-based recovery of botanical particulates, and transfer onto analytical platforms for forensic, microscopic, spectroscopic, molecular, or chemical examination. The invention is applicable in forensic investigations, environmental monitoring, ecological analysis, and botanical trace recovery.
