Abstract: The present invention relates to a breath carbon monoxide analyzer system (100), device (200), and method for determining carbon monoxide concentration in exhaled breath samples. The system comprises a sampling and carbon monoxide sensing assembly (300), an electronic control assembly (400), a communication interface assembly (500), a software processing architecture (600), and a purge and recovery logic architecture (700). An electrochemical carbon monoxide sensor (310) generates concentration measurements that are processed to derive breath-quality parameters including concentration slope, concentration variance, peak concentration characteristics, and temporal concentration behavior. A cross-validation engine (616) validates breath samples using concentration measurements, concentration slope characteristics, and baseline concentration values without requiring a dedicated airflow sensor. Validated measurements are classified into diagnostic categories. Following measurement, a micro-pump (312) performs active sensor recovery by reducing residual gas concentration below a predetermined threshold. The system further provides wireless communication, remote diagnostics, and result management.
