MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421104721 A) filed by Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited on December 31, 2024, for Busbar Module For Cell Assembiles In A Battery Pack.
Inventors include Kunal Patil; Har Govind Singh; and Manuel Tholath.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT BUSBAR MODULE FOR CELL ASSEMBILES IN A BATTERY PACK The present disclosure relates to a busbar module (100) that comprises a conductive mesh (102) configured to connect multiple cells. The conductive mesh (102) comprises multiple terminals (106) connected to positive and negative terminals of multiple cells. Multiple frangible zones (104) are integrated into the conductive mesh (102). Each frangible zone (104) has a surface area less than surrounding portions of the conductive mesh (102). The frangible zone (104) is configured to couple a set of terminals (106) of the conductive mesh (102) to the positive and negative terminals of a cell and break under a combination of mechanical stress and thermal conditions.
