Abstract: The invention relates to a capsule for receiving coffee powder and producing a coffee beverage using water in a device which receives the capsule. The capsule has a container with an interior which can be accessed via an opening and a cover for reversibly opening and closing the opening by means of a user, and a snap-action disc is mounted on the container and/or on the cover, said snap-action disc being designed such that below a specified pressure in the capsule, the disc is in an unsnapped state, and above the specified pressure in the capsule, the disc is in a snapped state. The snap-action disc is designed and mounted such that the disc seals off the interior of the capsule from the outside in the unsnapped state and releases an opening to the outside in the snapped state.
