Mohamed Roshan Abu Firnass on July 29, 2026, for Carbon-Fortified Phosphorus Fertilizer Composition For Enhanced Phosphorus Availability And Crop Productivity.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a carbon-fortified phosphorus fertilizer for 5 enhancing phosphorus availability, nutrient use efficiency and crop productivity. The fertilizer composition comprises a carbon carrier derived from maize stalk biomass, a phosphorus source selected from single superphosphate or rock phosphate, an organic carrier, phosphate-solubilizing bacteria comprising Bacillus megaterium, a natural polymer coating material, and a starch-based binder. The 10 carbon carrier is produced through controlled pyrolysis to obtain a porous carbonrich matrix capable of adsorbing and stabilizing phosphorus while supporting microbial colonization. B. megaterium enhances phosphorus solubilization through the production of organic acids and phosphatase enzymes, thereby increasing phosphorus availability to plants. The fertilizer reduces phosphorus fixation in soil, 15 promotes sustained nutrient release, improves soil microbial activity, and enhances phosphorus uptake by crops. The invention provides an environmentally sustainable fertilizer suitable for phosphorus-deficient and acidic soils, resulting in improved soil fertility and agricultural productivity.
