Abstract: Casting method and apparatus (1) for manufacturing ceramic articles (2), the apparatus (1) comprising: - a mould (3) which, in turn, comprises: at least two mould parts (4A, 4B, 4C or 4A, 4B, 4C, 4D and 4E) mutually movable between a closed configuration, in which they are coupled to one another to define a casting cavity (5) and an open configuration; and at least one insert (6), adapted to cooperate with said at least two mould parts to create at least one undercut zone (P) in the ceramic article (2); - a feeding system to feed a mixture under pressure into said casting cavity (5); - a moving device (9) for automatically positioning the insert (6) in coupling with at least one of said two mould parts, when they are in the open configuration; and - a hydraulic system operatively connected exclusively to the at least two mould parts so as to feed a fluid under pressure through them.
