Abstract: Ceiling-Mounted Airbag System for Protecting Bus Passengers During Accidents The present invention relates to a ceiling-mounted airbag system for protecting bus passengers during accidents. The system comprises a plurality of airbag modules integrated within a ceiling structure of a bus passenger compartment for providing protection to both seated and standing passengers during collision, rollover, or sudden impact events. A sensor detection system including accelerometers and gyroscopes continuously monitors vehicle movement conditions and transmits signals to an electronic controller module configured to identify emergency conditions and trigger deployment of the airbag. Upon confirmation of an accident event, an inflation assembly including a high-pressure gas cylinder and manifold arrangement rapidly inflates the airbag to form a large-area protective cushioning barrier within the passenger compartment. The system further includes controlled deflation arrangements and power backup components to facilitate safe evacuation and reliable operation during power interruption conditions while maintaining passenger space within the bus interior.
