Abstract: A hybrid reinforced aromatic polybenzimidazole membrane for enhanced water electrolysis, comprising: (a) an aromatic polybenzimidazole polymer matrix comprising poly (ABPBI); and (b) a hybrid nanofiller comprising cerium oxide nanoparticles coupled to graphene oxide nanosheets, wherein the hybrid nanofiller is uniformly dispersed within the polymer matrix at a loading of about 0.1 to about 5 wt.% based on the weight of the polymer and methods thereof.
