MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202627000305 A) filed by J. Van Walraven Holding B. V. on January 02, 2026, for Channel Fastener With Torque-Inducing Element.

Inventors include Juzak, Marek; and Nijdam, Frank.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: A channel fastener comprises a rigid washer element and an oblong metal anchoring element. The channel fastener furthermore comprises a connecting element which connects the anchoring element to the washer element, while allowing the anchoring element to rotate around the rotational axis with respect to the washer element. The connecting element comprises a torque-inducing element including at least one limb. The at least one limb is arranged substantially offset from the rotational axis of the anchoring element and adapted for guiding the anchoring element such that when the anchoring element is moved away from the washer in a direction coaxial with the rotational axis, one of the long lateral sides of the anchoring element slides along the limb, whereby a torque is induced on the anchoring element, which rotates the anchoring element around the rotational axis towards the locking position.
