Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a channel report setting including instructions for the UE to include one or more predicted channel characteristics in a channel report, the channel report setting indicating a first set of channel measurement resources and a second set of channel measurement resources. The UE may perform channel measurement prediction on at least a subset of a set of target resources in accordance with the channel report setting to obtain the one or more predicted channel characteristics, the set of target resources based on measurements associated with the first set of channel measurement resources and the second set of channel measurement resources. The UE may transmit, based on the channel measurement prediction, the channel report indicating the one or more predicted channel characteristics. A network entity may schedule a channel based on obtaining the channel report.
