MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631066724 A) filed by National Institute Of Technology Patna on May 27, 2026, for Chemistry-Constrained Multi-Objective Optimization Of Cement Manufacturing.
Inventors include Bajpai, Abhijeet; and Rajak, Sonu.
The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system (100) for multi-objective optimization of Ordinary Portland Cement manufacturing and a method (400) for adjustment of a kiln parameter of a kiln (112) of a cement plant. The system includes sensors (102) positioned at the kiln (112) and at upstream and downstream stages of the cement manufacturing process, a memory (104) storing a chemistry-constraint unit (208), a surrogate prediction unit (210), and an evolutionary search unit (212), a processor (106), a plant control unit (108) that conveys actuation commands from the processor to the actuator (110) through industrial communication protocols, and an actuator (110).Unlike conventional approaches, the chemistry-constraint unit (208) enforces the Lime Saturation Factor (208-2), the Silica Modulus (208-4), the Alumina Modulus (208-6), oxide mass balance relations (208-8), Bogue mineralogical phase relations (208-10), and the evolutionary search unit (212) produces a Pareto front (214) for chemistry-aware kiln control in real-time cement plant operation.
