MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641125215 A) filed by Teamwin Global Technologica Private Limited on October 21, 2026, for Client-Side, Compose-Time Disambiguation Of Same-Display-Name Intra-Organization Email Recipients Using Directory Scope Attributes And A Scope Expectation Derived From The Message Thread.

Inventor includes Mohan Kumar Siramdasu.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: CLIENT-SIDE, COMPOSE-TIME DISAMBIGUATION OF SAME-DISPLAY-NAME INTRA-ORGANIZATION EMAIL RECIPIENTS USING DIRECTORY SCOPE ATTRIBUTES AND A SCOPE EXPECTATION DERIVED FROM THE MESSAGE THREAD A mail-client add-in verifies recipients on the client at compose time upon a recipient-change event (adding 0 ms of latency to message send). When a selected recipient's display name corresponds to two or more directory entries in the same organization (for example, several people sharing a common name), the add-in derives an expected organizational scope — such as department or geographic scope — from the directory attributes of the conversation's existing participants, and surfaces a non-blocking compose notification banner (InsightMessage infobar or inline top-of-compose banner) if the selected recipient's scope deviates from that expected scope, naming the deviating attribute and offering an action to switch to the same-name alternative whose scope matches or dismiss. The verification is deterministic, reuses directory scope data synchronized by an email-signature- management platform, and runs without transmitting the message off the client. An optional first tier warns in the same compose banner when a recipient's domain is absent from the conversation's domains. Abstract figure: FIG. 3.
